Travel Portland’s goal is to position the destination as a top meetings and convention location. The organization’s team of sales managers aggressively sell the destination to meeting planners and wanted to know how to utilize LinkedIn to better search, qualify and sell to planners.
Digital Edge provided Travel Portland a program which included developing the destination’s LinkedIn strategy and a two-part training program done via live webinars. The Travel Portland team created a spotlight page for the meetings & convention team to focus their messaging and branding. The training program went into depth on how to set up the individual sales team profiles from a sales perspective. The second session was devoted to how to sell via LinkedIn, create relationships with planners and utilize the platform’s advanced features for business development purposes.
