Visit Rapid City needed a marketing partner that truly understood destination marketing & how to help them leverage their destination assets to drive meetings and conventions interest as a mid-size destination.
Digital Edge integrates Visit Rapid City’s marketing and sales efforts to drive interest in their meetings and convention product through digital marketing, LinkedIn marketing, email marketing and promotions. We created the Amazing Rush as an opportunity to drive RFP’s and showcase the top activities that will set a meetings destination apart.
The Amazing Rush will take place on May 2-3, teams of two people, (Two winners – Planners to bring guest) race around the national parks, monuments and other destination areas in competition with other team. Planners strive to arrive first at “Pit Stops” at the end of each leg of the race to win prizes and avoid coming in last, which carries the possibility of elimination or a significant disadvantage in the following leg.
Contestants travel to and within multiple parks and monuments in a variety of transportation modes such as cars, trains and by foot. Clues provided in each leg lead the teams to the next destination or direct them to perform a task, either together or by a single member. The team that arrives first in the final leg is awarded the grand prize of a Black Hills Vacation for five nights.
